Bio
Early life
Lilith Saintcrow was born in 1976 in New Mexico. Her parents divorced shortly after, and both remarried. As an Air Force brat, Saintcrow moved frequently, returning to the United States after a prolonged period in the United Kingdom.
Adult life
Saintcrow has lived in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade. She currently resides in Vancouver, WA. Since 2004, she writes full-time. She is married, with two children.
Writing
Advice
Every Friday, Saintcrow produces a journal post about writing. Her advice centers on daily practice and attention to craft.
Common Themes
A sense of dislocation and rootlessness often crops up in Saintcrow's work, as well as themes of lost (and found) families, homelessness, violence, free will, and redemption.
Career
Saintcrow started writing paranormal romance (the Watcher series) for ImaJinn Books and was briefly involved with AnotherChapter.com, an experiment in serial fiction. The sale of Working For The Devil to Warner Aspect (later Orbit) marked her entry into urban fantasy. She has written novels in several genres, though many of them remain stuffed in drawers.
